Schedule Your Call with Krissa
My name is Krissa BeekerÂ
I didn’t come to this work from a classroom.
I came to it through first responder culture.
My father served nearly 30 years across EMS, Fire, and Law Enforcement. Growing up, I watched what the job demanded—and what it quietly took. I saw dedication, pride, and service. I also saw how often recovery came last, how stress was normalized, and how relationships and connection slowly eroded under the weight of “pushing through.”
Like many first responders, my dad did exactly what the culture trained him to do.
Years after retirement, he was still paying the cost.
In the spring of 2021, I received a call that changed everything— He wanted out.
A moment that made it painfully clear that the impact of this work doesn’t end when the uniform comes off or the badge is retired. Survival mode can stay long after the job is done.
That experience is why Tactical Reboot exists.
